As part of our internal ‘Tanager in the Community’ initiative, throughout 2022 the team are supporting The Soup Kitchen (London). Established in 1986, The Soup Kitchen is a resource for the homeless, elderly, lonely and vulnerable in London and provides free meals, clothing, toiletries and a sense of belonging to those who rely on their services.

During our volunteering efforts at The Soup Kitchen, we learnt from the charity’s CEO that they would like to start an evening service. Inspired by what we have seen first-hand, we decided that we would like to raise additional funds to support this new endeavour.

Following the success of our ‘Walk the Bryson Line’ in 2018, we have chosen to follow a pilgrimage route from Canterbury Cathedral to Southwark Cathedral, walking approximately 20 miles a day for 5 days.

We plan to set off on Saturday 17^th September and finish in London on Wednesday 21^st September. We have 15 places available each day for people to join us and we ask that each walker raises £300 per day of walking.
