Financial Advisor

Patrick is originally from New Hampshire, where he was born and raised, but he moved to Scotland at age 17 to study at the University of St. Andrews and has been picking up knowledge of life on both sides of the Atlantic ever since.

Prior to moving back to the UK in 2017, Patrick was a financial advisor specialising in complex planning for high net worth clients, most recently with UBS Financial Services.  He also worked for a trust and estate law firm and is the co-author of Estate Planning to Die For: An Insider’s Guide for Financial Professionals.  In his younger days, Patrick taught History at the University of New Hampshire, and he still maintains that the principles that make a good teacher — patience, knowledge, and a genuine desire to help people reach their goals. — are foundational to the practice of being a good financial advisor.

Patrick and his family decided to move back to England in 2017 to be closer to his wife’s family, and he joined Tanager shortly after arriving.  He lives in Sussex with his wife Holly and two children, and loves spending time out in the countryside.  He gets back to New England as often as he can, and is one mountain short of having hiked all the 4,000 Footers of the White Mountains.
