Nicole has been a senior financial advisor and financial planner focusing on the complex needs of US expats and foreign nationals relocating to the US for nearly 20 years at prestigious firms such as Merrill Lynch, Royal Bank of Canada, and Boston Private. She holds an MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business (2016), the Certified Financial Planner designation (US – 2011), and a BSc (Hons) in Anthropology from Goldsmiths – University of London (1999). As a senior manager, Nicole has held roles of responsibility as the CEO of an alternative investment management company and as Managing Director and Officer of the Midwest regional division of a US based private bank.
In 2005, Nicole launched the non-profit International Professionals Association to provide social networking, career development, and greater global professional contacts to over 250+ subscribing members and was recognized for her community work serving the expat community by Greater Madison In Business magazine (Madison, WI) as one of the year’s class of “40 Under 40”. She is passionate about serving the US expat community and helping ambitious globally mobile families optimize their assets and income through holistic financial planning that encompasses the complexity of their lives.
Nicole’s global life started when she met her British husband while on a foreign exchange program in Germany in 1992 and moved to the UK for the first time in 1994. She moved her young family back to her hometown in Wisconsin in 2001, and recently returned to the UK again in 2018. After 25+ years of marriage and raising three kids on two continents, Nicole, a UK/US dual national, is extremely empathetic to the financial and emotional complexities, joy, and adventure that live in mixed nationality relationships. Nicole, her husband Derek, youngest daughter Olivia, and dog Axel Rose now live in Hove on the south coast of England. Nicole’s other two 20-something children, Alex and Katie, are living independently as next generation global citizens. When she’s not working in central London, you can find Nicole powerlifting in the gym, walking along the beach in Brighton with her husband and dog in search of a nice cup of tea, or planning her next holiday abroad.
