What was your career ambition growing up?
To play shortstop for the Orioles and be a fireman.
What brought you to the UK?
A job with iShares and a desire to see the world.
What do you miss most about the US?
Doing a 1040 EZ filing vs. the 100-page complicated tax returns I have today as an expat!
What is your favourite thing about living in the UK?
The ability and ease to travel to Europe and the theatre performances and music events that are here in London.

NFL.
What is the biggest issue affecting mixed transatlantic families living in the UK?
Bewilderment at how to manage their joint finances across two jurisdictions.
What is it you most enjoy about helping transatlantic households?
I like knowing that I helped make a positive difference in their lives by helping to solve the household finance puzzle they have found themselves to be in when moving from the US.
How has the legacy of the pandemic affected your work and the clients that you serve?
Working remotely during the pandemic made me realize 1) I don’t like working at home (separation has value) 2) Life is precious so don’t take it for granted, and 3) If you apply yourself, you can crack any challenge.

Cal Ripken – he found a passion, became great at it, and showed up every day to get better.
What’s the last book that you read?
Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises by Ray Dalio.
